You just have to drive down any road and you will see olive groves, vineyards, fields of brilliant purple lavender, bright red poppies, yellow sunflowers, and ochre tinted wheat. The colors of Provence are an inspiration in every artist's palette; and artists flock here in the thousands just to experience the real thing.

PROVENCE is also known for the purity and brilliance of its sunlight, a fact that was not lost on artists such as Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne and a host of other masters of the impressionist movement who lived and painted here. You will not find conditions such as this anywhere else in the world. The atmosphere is incredibly unique and will inspire you and your group like no other as you capture what you see and create your own impressions on the canvas.

MOULIN DE LA ROQUE is the perfect location. It is just minutes from scores of quaint picturesque villages like Saint-Rémy de Provence, Gordes, Roussillon, Luberon, Menerbes, Bonniuex, Lourmarin, and many more. You and your students will love taking advantage of the wonderfully colorful daily markets in these towns as well as studying the rich ancient architecture and charming elements, the cafes, flowers, awnings and umbrellas, all so characteristic of the area.

THE SEASIDE is also just 60 miles away from the Estate. The Côte d'Azur fishing village of Cassis has adorned more than one artist's canvas. You will love its colorful fishing and sailing boats in harbor and unique multicolored villas dotting the steep hillside as it drops to the sea. Also close by are museums (Van Gogh and Cezanne), prestigious art schools, and hundreds of galleries.

THE MOULIN DE LA ROQUE is one of the most ideal settings for art workshops in the entire south of France. Baron Fallon welcomes you for a tour if you are in the area and is happy to provide you with additional information at your request.

THE ESTATE itself is particularly well suited for hosting workshops. Baron Fallon has designed each guest house with workshops in mind. There are single beds in each bedroom making it easy for participants to share rooms. Toilets are separate, and most of the bedrooms have a wash basin for convenience. Participants love sharing the kitchens, living areas, and terraces as they make great gathering places to share ideas over a café au lait or a glass of great wine. Often lunches and dinners are taken together as a group in one of the larger guest houses, the terrace, or the main meeting room.

A UNIQUE FEATURE of the estate is two indoor meeting rooms ideal for teaching and demonstrations. There are plenty of large windows in the main meeting room. It is so open that each participant will feel as if they are outside. And when painting plein air, the estate itself and the adjacent village of Noves are so picturesque that many artists can spend their entire workshop just painting there.

BARON FALLON has hosted many artistic workshops and is delighted to assist you with yours in any way you may need. He can arrange catering/meals for your group, can assist you with your tour plan including; buses/transportation, suggestions on places to visit, and other logistical needs you may have. He will also place your workshop on his site to help you market your event to additional participants if necessary.
